july fourth is a big deal around here. we like to celebrate all day long. in rosemary beach, we get started at 7:30 a.m. with a bike decorating breakfast party which turns into, you guessed it, a bike parade!
i'm pretty sure this pic is from 2003. this is what main street looked like before hotel saba was built. weird, huh.
david debuted the big blue truck that year. notice the big speakers on top. he was blaring peoples eardrums out with sousa marches. people always ask me about that truck. i should have david write a glob about it.
the bike parade ends at the western green where the family field day takes place from 9-11. so much fun. just picture sack races, three legged races, hula hoop contests, water balloon toss, moon walk, face painting, go fish... you know, the good stuff.
then everyone goes home and takes a nap. then back out for the neighborhood barbecue, concert on the green, and then everyone's favorite: FIREWORKS!
