that brought in an amazing $142.76
for Alaqua Animal Refuge last saturday!

michelle, sophia, lauren grace, kylie, ava, and hannah!
and thank you to all the very generous people
who visited our stand!
here are some pics from cocoa L. photography
and even A CUTE VIDEO of the kid volunteers
performing a little routine they made up!
swing by Gigi's in Rosemary Beach TODAY
between 3:00-5:00 to see the kids in action
and to make a donation to the
over thanksgiving weekend,
i gathered a group of friends together
to help spread some Gigi's holiday cheer
along the south walton holiday parade route
on scenic route 30A!
before we headed to the parade,
we performed our routine for the folks
on main street in ROSEMARY BEACH...
then we drove along scenic route 30A
in the parade from seagrove to seaside...
when we arrived in SEASIDE
where there was such a big crowd waiting
that the parade director asked us
to perform our routine in TWO locations!
our good friend mr. michael
(owner of THE ART OF SIMPLE in seaside)
drove the gigi's truck in the parade for us
since my husband was home recovering from surgery...
sweet katie helped chaperone the kids
while her awesome parents scott and vicki
drove them in our friend kara's red truck...
we had such a great time performing
and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas...
thank you to miss cocoa
for capturing these great pictures...
thank you again to michael, laura, vicki,
scott, katie, and kara for helping with transportation...
and to these great kids and their parents!
now here's a little video of our routine:
last saturday's LEMONADE STAND team
consisted of hannah, ava, raelei, simone,
sarah, nina, olivia, and bella...
and together they raised $156.00
for the Alaqua Animal Refuge!
this brings the total raised for the
local no kill animal shelter
to over $2,400.00 this summer!
we have another lemonade stand scheduled
for TODAY in front of gigi's between 3:00-5:00...
hope to see you thirsty people there!
please help these kids in their quest to
help the animals at alaqua animal refuge!
and if you do,
you are likely to get a performance like this one:

we look a little soggy don't we?
this is right after we completed the ice bucket challenge
for FOOD FOR THOUGHT
which is a wonderful non-profit
that provides food and meals to local children in need.
they each poured a bucket of ice water on their heads
and videotaped it for all to see,
while challenging three more people to do the same,
AND of course to send in a donation!
one of them challenged
local photographer JACKIE WARD
who then challenged our own MISS COCOA
who then challenged ME....
it's interesting to see how far down the line it goes,
and it spreads exponentially!
Cocoa and I decided to take our cold water plunge
in front of Gigi's...
you know, in the middle of a day at work.
and as you can see from the following videos,
we inspired a few more adventurous and giving
people who asked if they could take the challenge too!
see more local #icebucketchallenge videos
on the FOOD FOR THOUGHT facebook page!
and if this looks like your idea of fun,
consider yourself challenged!
proceed to dump a bucket of ice water on your head
and send them a check, pronto! :)
(you can even donate online HERE!)
one week ago, some little friends and i took part in the south walton community fourth of july parade which takes place on scenic route 30A running from seagrove to seaside, florida... we had a blast throwing beads at the cheering crowds and performing a little dance routine. take a look!

and MR. DAVID for expertly driving us at a snail's pace,

GoldieBlox's newest title is "the dunk tank"...
in this kit girl's learn how to use their smarts
to create a hinge mechanism
to make Goldie's dog's bathtime more fun!
plop! goes the pup!
we also have the GoldieBlox parade float kit...
girls learn the concept of using a wheel and axle
to propel their little animal friends through a parade.
smile and wave!
and we have the original GoldieBlox "spinning machine"
which teaches the engineering concept of a belt drive
to help Goldie's friends twirl!
the creator of GoldieBlox toys
is a young female engineer herself...
and with her line of GoldieBlox toys,
she's inspiring girls to think and play in a way
that other traditional girl toys don't...
as demonstrated in their newest video:
and just in case you missed their first video
that became such a youtube sensation, here it is:
call us at 888-353-6161 if you would like to order
GoldieBlox dunk tank, parade float, or spinning machine!
we have the most beautiful collection from MIM-PI...
spring/summer 2014 is bright and bohemian,
yet fresh and innocent...
and so fun to mix and match!
most of these styles
are currently available on our website,
and even more in the store!
and here's a fun video that MIM-PI created
of their colorful photo shoot in IBIZA... enjoy!
every year, some young friends and i like to get together
to put on a little show and spread a little cheer
at the south walton community holiday parade on 30A!
this year we did a dance routine
to "oh santa" by mariah carey...
we started out performing it in front of Gigi's
on main street in ROSEMARY BEACH...
then we posed for a pic in front of Gigi's in santa's sleigh
before heading to the parade route along 30A...
once we arrived in SEASIDE town center
it was time to put on our little show...
the kids were FABULOUS!
here's a video of our performance!
here's this year's fabulous team!
