lemonade stand & KIDS ROCK THE BLOCK PARTY!

here are pictures from last week's lemonade stand...

these kids raised yet another $144.65

for the animals at Alaqua Animal Refuge!

this team included rebecca, febe, raelei,

knoxye, and caitlinnnn!!!!

the LAST lemonade stand of the season

takes place today,

but instead of being held from 3:00-5:00 like usual,

it will run from 5:30-7:30 during the

KIDS ROCK THE BLOCK PARTY!

there will be fun & games... go fish booth, limbo,

face painting, crazy colored hair spray, moonwalks,

craft project, etc...

a few surprises...

like this really tall lady that creates balloon art,

and something new this time:

kids ZUMBA dance party

with miss marcia from FIT YOUR WAY30A!

and don't miss cocoa L. photography's photo booth,

your family can pose for the best facebook pic ever!

and the western green...

shore surfing and sand casting

this guy is enjoying his last days of summer

riding his SHORE SURFER at the beach...

a SHORE SURFER is like a skim board,

except it has padding

so that he can run, KNEEL, and slide along the shore...

being closer to the ground makes it safer

than traditional skim boarding,

and gives kids a long safe ride in shallow water.

they were invented by an 11 year old boy from destin!

they come in lots of colors...

we even have leashes too

so grownups can join in the fun

and get a little work out in pulling kids along the shore!

while you are at the beach

we have a new fun project for you to try as well:

SAND CASTING kits...

you create them right there on the beach!

just hunt for shells and other treasure,

arrange them on the sand,

add some sea water to the plaster mix,

pour over your treasure,

and once it is dry, pick it up and take it home!

the SAND CASTING KITS in a pail are $14.

we also have kits packed in a box...

this is the same concept as the SAND CASTING kit,

except this one comes with shells, sand, and a shadow box

so you can pick this one up as a souvenir

and make it back at home.... it is just $16.

get out there and enjoy the beach!

p.s. no pics from last week's lemonade stand

because it got rained out...

BUT we still have some great numbers to report!

we still raised $52.00 last week

at our WHAT'S UP table,

plus $65 from gigi's tshirts sold,

plus $155.04 was raised at our cupcake table

from the first block party of the season...

we were waiting for a rainy day

to put it in the lemonade jar...

which makes a total of $272.04 for the week!

who were standing by last saturday to volunteer:

raelei, olivia, emj, hen, caitlin, and abbey!

we have a lemonade stand scheduled for TODAY

from 3:00-5:00...

please come by and make a donation

to alaqua animal refuge...

they need it more than ever right now!

on main street and the western green

so we plan to have the lemonade stand open

during the party from 5:30-7:30...

the last one of the season!

so far gigi's kids have raised over $3,000.00

this summmmerrrr!!!!! woot woot!

star of the week... KAI!

KAI just turned 10 years old

and he's really good at performing magic tricks!

he enjoys playing TENNIS and BASKETBALL...

and he loves to SURF and SKIM!

he hopes to get his own YOLO board soon...

when he grows up he plans to be a MEDIC in the military!

his favorite food is chocolate pie

and he is a SUPER big brother to his sister PARKER!
