gigi's LEMONADE STAND season starts today!
join us for the first LEMONADE STAND of the season
today in front of Gigi's from 3:00-5:00
to benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge !
lemonade is served with a twizzler straw
by animal loving kid volunteers
for donations to the animals...
come get you some!
the lemonade stand is set up
every saturday afternoon all summer long
with all proceeds going to AAR.
this will be the ninth lemonade stand season...
over the past eight years,
the kids have raised over $20,000.00 for the animals!

we are so proud of all the runners
that competed in the
2016 SEASIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL
HALF MARATHON & 5K RACE this past weekend...
also thankful for these kids (and kids at heart!)
for cheering them on
while distributing water, gatorade, and goo!

star of the week... ANNABELLE!
ANNABELLE is 9 years old
and loves to dance with 30A DANCEWAVE...
recently she performed a jazz routine,
at the FLUTTERBY FESTIVAL!
she also is very fond of walking her dogs,
going to the beach, and writing stories about animals....
she enjoys ALL kinds of food, especially PIZZA....
when she grows up she wants to be a DENTIST
because she's not at all grossed out by blood,
and because she's always had
really good experiences going to the dentist!

trip to alaqua animal refuge
some of the lemonade stand volunteers
took a trip to ALAQUA ANIMAL REFUGE
to deliver the first installment
of the summer 2015 lemonade stand donations
and to meet up with some of the animals
that the money is going to help!
here are some of the furry friends we met!
the kids even got to visit with
and he is looking good and feeling great!
ALAQUA is a beautiful place to visit...
take a tour, consider adopting an animal (or two),
and of course bring a donation with you...
ALAQUA is an independent non-profit organization
that relies on donations to do their amazing work!

Alaqua Animal Refuge – an independent, nonprofit organization located on Florida’s Emerald Coast – advocates the general welfare and humane treatment of animals by providing shelter, prevention of pet overpopulation and adoption services. Located on 10 acres in Freeport, the refuge was formed by Walton County, Fla.-resident Laurie Hood in 2007 when she discovered that countless animals were being euthanized due to the lack of a no-kill shelter/adoption organization in the area. Since that time, Alaqua Animal Refuge has helped find homes for more than 11,000 animals.
